I hate to send this out in an article, but the way the media works these days, I will not have time to speak with you face to face. I will be leaving to become the head coach at Waynesburg next year.  The offer they gave me was too good to pass up and I have to think of my immediate family first and my football family second.  Understand this, I have never had to make a harder decision, but when it came down to it, you, the players, were the only reason to stay at California.  I cannot base my decision on my feelings for you guys because you will be moving on soon also. My best explaination for why I am leaving is my competitive nature. Waynesburg has only won one game in the past two years and my ego is pushing me to see if I can fix it.  I need to know if I am a good coach or if California has just blessed me with great talent.  DJ, Wade and the rest of next year's seniors, it is you team to carry for the next year. I will always consider you to be a part of my family and I will help any of you in any way that I can.  I am only a phone call away.  I want to thank you for all the hard work you have done, making the play-offs this past year was a great accomplishment for such a young team and I am confident you can have the same type of success with a new coach. I will be stopping by Wednesday after school to see you but the newspapers will have this out in the morning.  God Bless you all and I will be your biggest fan next year!
